Just bought a Mitsubishi L300 4WD

Today I bought a Mitsubishi L300 4WD with the intention to convert it into a camper. L300 4×4’s are very rare in the Netherlands as there isn’t much of a purpose in this tarmac filled country. I spotted this vehicle on “Marktplaats” (the dutch Craigslist/Gumtree) with only 122.000 km from 2001 and in fairly good shape with few dents and minor rust. It’s a long wheel base van. I didn’t know LWB 4×4’s even existed. Test driving I noticed poor braking performance and I didn’t like the sound the turbo made. These issues will be resolved first. I’ve already ordered a new turbo.

Wow, I also did not know these came in LWB, not here in Australia anyway! Always wanted one and will buy one someday! Zit je op insta?

Hi Ben, I’m living in the Netherlands but I saw them in Australia first (SWB indeed). I have an Instagram account but I don’t use it for this project.

What year is this van? I never realized they made a 4×4 LWB version either… wish to hopefully find one similar.
